About NeoToonami

Accept no substitutes.  NeoToonami.com is THE home of Toonami Revolution, the Internet’s premier underground Toonami renewal effort.

Even though the sun has long since risen on a world without Cartoon Network’s longest running and most cherished programming block, the revolution marches on.  We may have light years of work ahead of us, but nevertheless we at NeoToonami.com solemnly swear that by star light or by lamp light, the Toonami Revolution team will be burning the midnight oil until once again TOM and co., see the light of day.

I love Toonami! Even though it seems silly to say this, Toonami has been a defining part of my childhood and has shaped who I am today. My friends and I used to sit around for hours watching recordings on tape of Toonami, laughing and staying up late. That was six, seven, maybe eight years ago, and I still have so many beautiful memories that wouldn’t have happened if Toonami weren’t around. It’s a shame that it’s gone. The shows- you just can’t find them in English anymore or the manga has gone out of print. It’s a shame that Toonami’s gone, and I’m so glad that we’re finally endeavoring to bring it back! <3

2. noah says:

yep i definatly agree

3. Julian Means says:

Toonami was cancelled because of low ratings. If the programming block maintained good ratings we would still have it on CN.

4. Facelord says:

When I was younger, the end of Toonami destroyed Cartoon Network’s appeal to me. I still don’t really care about Cartoon Network at all, and I miss Toonami quite a bit. The decision to end its run definitely wasn’t a good one. CN lost almost all of its mature appeal.

5. Ben says:

I too love toonami, and no its not silly that it made you into who you are, you aren’t the only one. It truely is the greatest project that is being undertaken and I hope its revival is successful, but disturbingly enough, it wasn’t just toonami that fell. I read an article from and decently reliable news source that tells of the death of the anime industry in america. Sadly enough, its the impatience of people that brought about its end. The article states that because anime cost so much time and money, its production per episode was slow, so they would release them one by one week after week on T.V. People got tired of waiting so they cracked it off the internet and pirated tons of anime, thus causing the prices to soar for DVD’s and such so that no one wants to buy them anymore. Because no one has need really to buy the anime products, profits are down and anime doesn’t pull enough money in when shown on T.V anymore.

6. Rafael says:

I wish to join the movement. The only way I believe Toonami can come back is in the form of a channel. It would be great. As Neotoonami is plugging the look of the last days of the TOM 3 era, I think the channel should launch with that look and feel. Start of with a daily lineup of the beloved classics, from Cats to Moon to Z to GT. Leave nothing behind. TOM and Sara host from 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. and leave the rest to SARA (robots need rest too). Then premieres will include the final Sailor Moon episodes never before dubbed. New anime worth watching (like Alchemist). With anime appearing in japan so often, and a new channel to dedicate themselves to airing dubbed versions with extreme care, nothing will stop this channel from flourishing. New looks and facelists will have to happen including new TIE’s. NO TOM 4 like the one we knew. The TOM 5 artwork looks like a promising second look don’t u think? Well that’s my input. Chaio!

7. Rafael says:

Forgot to add weekend activity… Saturdays and Sundays will be specials and Movies based on Toonami shows past and present. They should take it easy on Sundays though. Nothing TOO violent. Don’t wanna offend anyone.

8. admin says:

Sounds like a great system to aim for, Raffie. :)

9. Steven Mcgee says:

Can I join the NeoToonami movement? I hope that Toonami will be reborn with all the old stuff that made Toonami beautiful.

10. hack3r says:

Welcome aboard bro. Tell your friends

11. Forrester says:

I’m so glad that people are joining the Neo Toonami Revolution, our hopes that Toonami will oneday be revived. I wonder if there will be a new Midnight Run, that would rock.

12. john says:

i remember watch it some times. i was rather busy with friends so i did not watch it as much and also did not have cable always available till 5 years ago. there was some kick ass show on there . =X though i never really did care for the marathons

13. Gary says:

4 me, Toonami made me learned what anime is and what its all about and just like Mina said, it has also been a defining part of my childhood and I’m proud of that and I’ll do whatever it takes 2 bring Toonami back.

14. Steven says:

If you guys are sucessful with revivng Toonami, give TOM 5 a great design and reintroduce SARA. Also, if you decided to upgrade the Clyde model that appears for the final opening of Toonami which seems like a prototype to something like Clyde 53′s, could you if you decide to, add Flash and T, because to me,they’re good, but not as good as SARA.

15. Steven McGee says:

Oh, by the way, thanks for making me part of the movement. Let’s whoop butt Toonami style.

16. Whackeyeye5 says:

Oh by the way, I’m Steven McGee. A true fan to Toonami.

17. leaflet_light says:

I really miss the old school toonami — the one without the weird “jungle tom”… what happened to CN? I don’t even let my younger brothers watch all that crap that they show nowadays. total drama island? chowder? SERIOUSLY? AND what is with all the live action shows?

ugh.

i feel like, in its efforts to compete with nickelodeon, CN has lost all of it’s defining characteristics. there *was* a reason i used to watch CN over nick when I was younger, you know! now it’s just shot.

someone should just start an underground anime channel, something different from the regular on-demand anime sites you find around the net, make it have regular weekly programming, get some talented graphic designers/artists to give it an authentic look, and call it toonami or neotoonami or something. there could even be stuff like commercial placed between programs to support the service.

i doubt CN will ever bring toonami back.

even in it’s last days, toonami was a pathetic caricature of what it once was.

i think that the fan community would do a *much* better job of resurrecting toonami to it’s original glory.

after all, they are the only ones who still care.

18. leaflet_light says:

oh~ and by “channel” i meant something more solid + regular than the stream that is on right now. (altho, that is pretty damn good too, for now.)

19. leaflet_light says:

oh. wow. i just explored the site more, and realized that you are really doing everything i just suggested. everything looks A M A Z I N G !

so yeah. you can just delete all my comments! XD

20. admin says:

leaflet, that channel which you described is my ultimate dream for this project (PompousClown here). Right now, all the streams are just so fractured, it’d be great if they could be united under… something. I’m having a tough time with the site right now, if only because I’m apathetic about the whole front page. I just don’t know which direction we should take it. I tried the anime news and whatnot, but it just felt so old-hat. Blegh.

21. Chris Roach says:

I hope that Tom 5 comes and Toonami comes back and get its own channel. Because I am a Toonami fan and I had watch Toonami over the years when it was on cartoon network. I am going to watch Naruto Shippuden tomorrow on disney xd and watch it every time it comes on TV. I think that all Naruto fans should watch Naruto on disney xd? Because it will get alot ratings and CN will realize what they did last year when they cancel Toonami was a wrong thing to do. If Toonami comes back and gets it own channel that will show all the old shows lending up to the new shows and show movies and all Toonami videos.

22. Maxx Graves says:

I wish to help out in any way I can. I’m very good with planning toonami-sounding audio montages and have done so for my podcast.

http://www.myspace.com/avantguardevoiceclips

if you’d like to listen ^^

the official maxx’s myspace podcast is the one I used-

the first part is supposed to be an adult swim promo and the second bit after the robot lady says “now broadcasting your signal” is supposed to be toonami.

tell me what you think?

23. Duraiken says:

As a former Toonami watcher ( I grew disenchanted with it around the time DBZ was over and DBGT left me a little annoyed and stopped watching except for some Saturday nights just to see if any good ‘new’ anime were being introduced,) I’m interested in how NeoToonami will turn out.

But I have to wonder if you all have any plans for what to do if the “Dread Corporate Lawyers” of Turner Broadcasting, the owners of What-Used-To-Be-Cartoon Network, the Liscensees of the Americanized Anime you have on your schedule or anyone with any other copyright or trademark rights of said Americanized Anime come after you. That also leads me to pondering something I think saw somewhere else, possibly TV Tropes, about your possibly having original programming and wondering what you plan to do there.

Just an interested observer. Hope this does succeed and lives a long, prosperous life. Though if you’re accepting suggestions for shows TO show, I think the Ghostbusters Extreme series would fit here, and it does seem more or less abandoned, though don’t quote me on that.

24. PompousClown says:

Hmmm. Yeah, we’re all quite wary of the Dread Lawyers. It’s why I, personally, place greater emphasis on the generation of original content than on the circulation of copywrited (copywritten?) material. Toonami vet Jason DeMarco himself is following us on Twitter, so I dunno. I’m sure that the project has at least been the topic of some lunchtime chatter at the offices of AS and CN. And we haven’t run into any trouble yet… so who knows?

We’ve got an interview with Mr. DeMarco coming up soon, so be sure to hit up the forums and let us know if you’ve got any questions for the man!

25. PompousClown says:

Also, Duraiken, methinks that Time Warner owns CN now, not Turner. Which is even more formidable. I’ve actually got some real respect for Mr. Turner. I don’t know much about TR, just that they’re big time.

I was just thinking, there’s a lot, and I mean a lot of fan-talent out there that I think NeoToonami could tap into and feature, like in the old days of Toonami’s featured fanart, only on steroids. It’s amazing, just what people are accomplishing these days, what with all the great tools that now lay at our easy disposal. I mean, look at what Ice did with our new TOM! There’s more talented people like him out there, and they deserve some real recognition. So maybe we could strike up a few deals here and there, and, hey, generate some REAL original content!

26. Jonathan Garris says:

I know Toonami brought us all anime which we are all greatful for but lets not forget toonami wasnt just about new anime it was about old school that may not have been seen and action Cartoons all together Thats why I loved it I know it would particularly be hard but hey why we are pirating….anyway I was just saying this because most of us can watch anime on demand but cant find good american action cartoons from the 90′s and such as well I would recommend that as well in my opinon it would only add to toonami so that even the anime haters would have something to watch.(BTW I’m not an Anime Hater I love it so much I did a college project on it YATTA!!!!

27. hack3r says:

Don’t worry, we’re not focusing on just anime. We remember all that Toonami had to offer and we’re trying to bring all of the best parts back to life.

28. Jonathan Garris says:

was reading the forums today and I’m a little confused( justa little) You guys are still doing the stream thing with the shows and schedules and stuff right because its not too hard to find most of the shows on demand I just like schedules and toonami bumps lmao!! you know to give it the feel im watching tv.

29. daniel says:

tom 5 is looking better then tom 4 should have

30. hack3r says:

We’re working on it Jonathan, but nothing is really complete yet. It’s all still pretty much in the development stage.

31. Jonathan Garris says:

Oh believe me I’m not trying to rush at all I know how much time stuff like this can take I was just asking the general idea of the project, it may not seem like much but I am in full support of this project

32. Cowboy Bebop says:

I don’t usually comment on blogs but had to on yours. You have a very distinctive style on this site. A lot of people don’t have that touch, they just put up sites that hurt the eyes and give me a headache lol. I found your site while looking for something else on Yahoo, and I don’t have time to read all the articles that is here right now, I have bookmarked the home page and will check back regularly to see what’s new. What is your favorite anime series? I couldn’t pick a favorite, they are all so well-done. Click here if you’d like to check out my site. Thanks again and have a great weekend!

33. Rock says:

Okay, that’s it. Where is everyone? Has this website died? Is our cause lost!? Someone, anyone, are you out there!?

34. NiMu says:

Im here. reading this gives me hope. as far as the cause goes iv got cash to blow and im not afraid t o use it. LONG LIVE THE RESURECTION!

35. Zero says:

I’ve seen your work and I must say I’m impressed, I remember the good old days, surprisingly i still watch all my old toonami tapes just to reminisce.

36. Vancex says:

this project isnt dead things arent being updated to the site but click the Reactor- Forum and you can see all future plans and discussions there

37. Zipper says:

As Vancex said, NeoToonami is alive and well. Progress is slowly but surely being made and hopefully we’ll see a boost of activity with winter break coming up.

Full website refresh coming soon also.

Fear not, NeoToonami will one day see its rise. Ain’t nothin’ changed.

38. Steven says:

for some people who said it was cancelled to low ratings YOU ARE WRONG!
It was cancelled to do new projects and opportunites for the better, although they are only worse and making everything more “child friendly” they obviously had lost alot of viewers, since it simply sucks. I would do almost anything to have Toonami back, it was alot of things that kept me occupied when I was younger, then it was only on saturdays, then only to one hour even, and it really sucks that its gone, and IT WAS NOT CANCELLED FOR BAD RATINGS (Julian) if u look it up it wasn’t cancelled for that.
I’ll always miss Toonami and good ol TOM, (even TOM 4) which its great that a wonderful site like this is trying to bring those times back, I hope it gets more praise and people so it can grow, maybe CN might get some sense and actually put it back on, WELL I will love to see this site flourish
TOONAMI FOREVER!!!

39. Zipper says:

Toonami got canceled for a plethora of reasons, but the most simple of them all is that CN simply didn’t want it anymore. It didn’t fit their new vision and it stuck out like a sore thumb about their overall branding. The major screw up was moving it to Saturdays. They wanted weekdays to skew to a younger audience, and so Miguzi took over which was like a Toonami Junior. They expected the older audience to tune in on Saturday nights but what are older kids doing on Saturday nights? Most of them are certainly not at home watching television. That’s why Friday and Saturdays are the worst nights for TV. And due to this, Toonami DID start to get lower ratings, and CN began to advertise it less and less which caused ratings to drop even further. Toonami became a basement for stuff CN didn’t know where else to put, which lowered the value of Toonami even more until it was just a sad shell of its former self. And it all began with the move to Saturday.

There is no good reason Toonami still can’t thrive on weekday afternoons. They could even rebrand the “You Are Here” Friday block or the Saturday nameless action block as Toonami, but they refuse to do it. CN started to care too much about demographics and targeting the Nickelodeon and Disney Channel audiences, and Toonami was a victim of that. So yeah, Toonami didn’t get canceled simply because of bad ratings, it got canceled because CN just didn’t want it.

40. fayt says:

Any ideas on licensing I mean Neotoonami should be different enough to get past corporates but wasn’t pirating the reason the last stream was shut down about a half year ago. Most of us are collage or high school students right so its not like we have the money for licensing. I guess we could always do commercials and that would also give an excuse add the bumps for hard work to show through. But the reason I ask this is cause even if we do get commercials how will we pay for the first licenses we end up getting. Unless we end up pirating but then if we are caught we will end up back at square 0 cause if we get sued they could also take our name witch is different enough to get by but if thats taken well yea.

As much as I hate playing the devils advocate I tend to be a pessimist. And see these things, maybe i worry to much.

41. Andrain says:

Like the first comment said Toonami is a huge building block in my life and I’d love nothing more to take it to the Next Generation. There are plenty of challenges to overcome but where there is a will there’s a way and I’m pretty sure A few million people could just as easily Say Toonami was important to them too.

Catch Yuh on the flip Side Tom can’t wait till you’re back in action

Late.

42. C.A.C. says:

Hey, i remember back when Moltar was in charge of Toonami…and i remember spending years watching Tom evolve, and introducing Sara was cool to… Anyway, i want to get in on this and help, so if any of the admins or anybody else reads this just email me with anything i can do. thats all for now, stay gold.

43. P says:

love toonami will it have kenshin i love dat show..i will never 4get da final broadcast it wuz depressing

44. daniel says:

i heard a rumor that toonami will return

45. leeleo robert says:

hey small request when the revolution becomes real (and i fully believe it will) will it feature the old animes we grew up with ? i miss Tenchi,Zatch, and Luffy

46. james collins says:

can i join this group to bring toonami back because it was the only thing that me and my family would every weekend is watch toonami and have dome family time and when that left so did the family night T-T

47. Robert says:

I was just pissed and depressed once Toonami ended. But then I found this. Good luck with the revolution and heck, toonami may be completely revived

48. Patrick Conroy says:

I STAND WITH TOONAMI!

49. Noah says:

Bang. Stay gold. ‘Nuff said

50. Matthew Cantrell says:

Toonami exposed me to anime like One Piece (Funimation) I was flabergassted when CN cancelled it for Action Flicks and CN Real (WTF?!) Turner and Time Warner told them that alienating their programs would outrage viewers but they won’t listen that’s why I want to start my own network originally called TTN now TTV which will be owned by me (Trebor Enterprises) and co owned by Funimation dedicated to showing old anime and some that was ran on Toonami
Furthermore Toonami was cancelled because of concerned parents

51. Noah says:

Toonami will now be remembered. i put it up on my website

52. Noah says:

Toonami will now be remembered. i put memories up on my website (site link fixed)

53. Leah says:

I completely agree with most people: Toonami was a defining part of my childhood. In the good old days i tooned in everyday from 4 to 7 and watched faithfully. Now i don’t care about Cartoon Network or Adult Swim. They’re just there, nothing special like they used to be. I completely support NeoToonami and wish you guys all the luck in the world!

Toonami would never have been canceled if they kept their old ways of being that everyone knew and loved. And if there were concerned parents then all the parents really needed to do was not let their kids watch whatever they pleased and leave the rest of us to enjoy our television.

54. toonami fan says:

i can,t belive that i missed sailormoon when it was on toonami in the uk just becase i was watching cartoonnetwork[when it wasn't rubish]!

looks are so deceiving!

55. kleb says:

toonami got me into anime and now that CN has gotten rid of it i just get home from school and flop about with nothing good to wach on CN or TV.

56. rockthedragon says:

im keeping my faith in neo toonami and i hope we hit the jackpot

57. rockthedragon says:

any progress at all on neo toonami?????????

58. Ryumaru says:

I’m with you. When I was just a little kid, Toonami was what introduced me to the world of action animation. I remember seeing it in the early days, before T.O.M. even showed up, when it aired Dragon Ball Z. I never saw DBZ myself, but I did watch the first two series ever to be animated in CG: ReBoot and Beast Wars. The VHS tapes we recorded are still hanging around somewhere.

It would mean a lot to me to see Toonami hit the airwaves again. Even if we only get a small internet viewership, I’ll be satisfied knowing that Toonami is, in some small way, resurrected. Put me in front of a mic and I’ll do whatever voice you want me to.

Let’s blow the roof off this place.

59. Doram says:

I agree that the world is less fun place because of the abandonment of Toonami. I enjoyed DBZ along with everyone else in the early days, and I was an avid fan by the end, having watched the full run of Fullmetal Alchemist, and the majority of Naruto. I was very upset that the block had been dropped, especially since I missed the final broadcast date. I was further upset that projects of theirs like the English dubbing of Naruto ended less than 10 episodes before the end of the series. I am happy that Disney XD has picked up Shippuden, but I can’t get that channel, and SyFy’s Ani-Mondays just doesn’t cut it. We need Toonami back. Long live TOM!!

60. Jocelyn says:

Toonami was pretty much my childhood. It’s the only show worth remembering, especially compared to the crap they air now-a-days.

I wish to help with this project in any way possible.

61. mike says:

Cartoon Network lost all creditability, the cartoons that are onnow on CN don’t hold a light as Toonami did. I used to watch toonami on the weekends with my son. It was our time together as he was groing up, and now all those wonderful memories are gone. CN has really screwed things up. I have to stomach the crap they call cartoons now. Adult swim only has some great toons, such as: Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost-in-the-shell,Full metal alchemist. The rest is crap. Grown men acting like A%$Holes, is not the best interestes on CN. This is why I stopped watching CN. Toonami Was and is the best, rock on Tom and Toonami.

62. The Daily Bento says:

I want to join the revolution.

Toonami was literally the first thing I ever watched on T.V. from the early years of Gundam and Sailor Moon, all the way down to to horrid disfigured TOM 4.

Toon amit brought Anime into CN, and american television. It’s arguably the reason Anime became popular in America at all. I miss it, the fans miss it.
Steven Blum, SARA, the Absolution… all of those things made Toonami great. Unfortunately, Turner broadcast had it’s head too far up it’s ass to care about the FANS, the Die-hards tht made their channel what it was. Now look where it is. Live-Action, and losing to every other channel out there. My favorite station? A pathetic shell. My Favorite block? Mutilated and eventually cancelled.

This is about something completely different than ratings. This isn’t about money, demographics, this isn’t about THEM, it’s about US. The fans, the die-hards.
If I need to fight to bring my childhood back, I will.
And something tells me, the community here will as well.

So for Moltar, TOMs 1-3, SARA, and all the memories that came from it, the fans will bring it back. Toonami will live, breathe, and THRIVE. NeoToonami has my support.

~Kyon “The Daily Bento” Maebara.

63. GrueSlayer says:

I vaguely remember seeing clips of pokemon, dragonball Z, and probably others, when I was a child. You guys have my support.

64. Kevin says:

Toonami was pretty much the crux of my time watching Cartoon Network. My absolute, all-time favorite was Zoids: Chaotic Century/Guardian Force, despite it’s flaws, and I currently own all the episodes on DVD. It opened me up to later anime, and is a cherished part of my childhood, as was the old Cartoon Network and Toonami. You have my full and complete support. Strive forward always.

65. orlando says:

i agree toonami was my life tom 2 and 3 were my heros toonami introduced me 2 anime my faveorite shows were the dragonball series zoids knights of the zodiak one piece my second favorite other then the dragon ball seiries naruto full metal alchemist should be there gundam black cat bleach inuyasha black blood brothers and onother anime that should be there on the hopefully new toonami is blue dragon

66. orlando says:

oh and i 4got about a few other shows i like yugioh pokemon and bakugan adding 2 my first april 20 comment

67. orlando says:

i also 4 got my 3rd and 4th favorite animes yuyuhakusho and samurai jack

68. orlando says:

wait never mindsamurai jack i miss prince of tennis and zatch bell

69. marlonmuntu says:

i just really want toonami back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

70. Kevin says:

If THIS doesn’t make Cartoon Network change it’s mind, and bring Toonami back to TV, I don’t know WHAT will.

71. Zach says:

I hope to goin this movement as well, if Neotoonami succeeds then it should bring back all the old classics, DBZ, one piece, as well as naruto, and a personal favorite, outlaw star, And add new stuff too like bleach as well

72. Renz says:

I was crying when toonami went off because i mean one piece left then bobo then dbz after that naruto left cartoon network lost a lot of views and their mortal enemies take their hottest shows but i found this place and now i dont have to be killing my mom from reenactments of dbz and gt

73. 明日は今日来る says:

My parents think I’m screwy for wanting this one block back sooo much.
I don’t care, it’s the second most important part of my childhood.

74. Troy says:

AGREED

75. Aaron Neumann says:

Toonami… a component of my childhood.

When I was a child, I secretly watched it as my parents (at least my mother) didn’t truly approve. It had epics like The Real Adventures of Johny Quest (a modernization of the ONE FIFTIES ANIMATED SHOW I WOULD DARE TO WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FOR of the famous Johny Quest), Gundam Wing (the epicness of that part of the Gundam Metaseries makes everything else look insignificant), Cowboy Bebop, The Big O, and more.

When I found out that ALL OF TOONAMI WAS SHUT DOWN it made my blood boil.

It made me sadistic enough to make me dream myself having amazing psychic powers, just appearing[i/] at Corporate, and give them a literal piece of my mind. If they don’t change their minds… let’s say they are going to die and how is not to be said publicly.

Although I am now over that… it still makes my blood boil.

A part of my childhood died.

Replaced with uttermost junk.

I remember a time of great shows like Johny Quest, Reboot, and more.

But now replaced with parodies, poorly made clones, and more useless junk (well, for the most part…).

I must stop talking on my rant before I have a dream of me hauling a Tzar Bomba to Cartoon Network HQ and threaten to let loose one hundred megatons of nuclear fury on top of their heads. Having them remembered as the worst heads would change their attitudes.

If you somehow stored my hatred of the heads who shut down Toonami into a vessel, that vessel will vaporize anything within fifty square miles.

If this doesn’t show them, then greed must of truly corrupted them… to the core and sold their souls to the devil to satisfy this greed. Sure ratings keep a channel afloat… and you can’t get those ratings if people aren’t watching.

Entertainment should entertain, not be some huge enterprise that greed just drives. Spamming shows that are absolutely horrible… horrible enough that I can’t (and I have a rather large vocabulary) even describe it.

76. Lauren says:

I still remember toonami’s final broadcast- I was nine and I was bawling my eyes out.

77. chanku says:

I’m with this all the way through to the very end.

Toonami is great and nothing can change that.

78. Julian says:

This block introduced me to anime, it’s a part of who I am! Bring back SARA, the Absolution and TOM, but not the screwed up last version!

79. FireMadeFlesh says:

I remember when Toonami first launched in ’97. I caught a promo for it literally the day before it aired. Had no idea of what it was (Cartoons + Tsunami = Toonami. Sounds cool. Okay) or what was to become it all these years later, but I knew they were re-airing Thundercats & as a child of the 80′s, I was on-board!

Though the programming & overall presentation of the block dwindled in its last few years on Cartoon Network, I think Toonami still had potential to be a dominating force. Especially when you consider as the 00′s progressed, many networks began cutting their weekday & Saturday morning blocks–which is now a virtual wasteland. That would’ve been the best time for Toonami to have kicked it into hyper-drive. However, the programming got worse & worse, we saw less of it, & eventually it got the axe.

In its initial phase, Toonami was more than just about the shows themselves. It was about presence. In my opinion, second only to Fox Kids, the style in which Toonami promoted their shows was very unique. Combining the best elements of (then) never-before-seen episodes, other-worldly techno-space music (what I called it back then), & the command of the announcer’s voice–sometimes no annoucer at all–Toonami had a recipe that stopped any viewer dead in their tracks. The likelyhood of you tuning in was inevitable. The Sailor Moon & Dragonball Z promos are probably the best examples of this.

From Moltar, to “Kids Love It,” to TOM. It was a blast. Anyway, enough reminiscing. I’m glad someone has decided to take their love for this block one step further. There’s a current trend of resurrecting classics from the cancellation graveyard (i.e. Family Guy, Futurama–they’re even talking about rebooting Beavis and Butthead!) So, if you get enough people behind this movement, who knows? It just may happen!
I’m with you all the way, NeoToonami. If there’s anything you need from me (promotion-wise), I got your back.

I am a twenty-five year old man who has been a fan of Cartoon Networks for eons: Literally since the first airing of Space Ghost Coast to Coast back around the invention of cave painting. I watched it rise from the muck with Robotech and experiment with import after import, sometimes falling flat but other times succeeding beyond my wildest dreams. Then it began spawning things like Toonami and Adult Swim and, I tell you, sometimes it felt like it went beyond the impossible. When the filler BETWEEN show has you emotionally invested, you know someone is doing something right.

But, at some point, it felt like they just stopped caring. The great shows were left to wink out of existence, Toonami brutally choked down my executive meddling, and the whole channel filled with… filth and pap.

I salute those of you who seek to honor and bring back the glory days. You do a service to both the viewers who remember those days and the art itself.

83. Garrison says:

I also agree because this was the best of the best block CN ever had. Now reality shows CN lost a tons of respect from me. Toonami had awesome space adventures I hope it returns with vengeance

I’d like to join this Revolution of yours. I’m not exactly sure of where I would come in handy, but I’m certain we can think of something. The original NeoToonami channel on Livestream was eliminated due to the grubby hands of Cartoon Network. And the original Toonami was ended by the massive filler from Naruto and One Piece.

I think it’s time for change.

85. Sergeant-Captain Scorps says:

I mean, unless you guys could use a new ship. -Grins-

Hello i am zeldaria12.

I am in a youtube group called Toonami Resistance Crew.

We are just a bunch of Toonami fans and old Cartoon-Network fans all doing our best to bring Toonami back. I advertise without the Youtube promotion. Its not easy but i won’t give up. No matter what. Toonami started March 17th 1997. It ended September 20th 2008. Toonami has millions of fans. That i know for a fact. I have researched that. I know everything about Toonami. Believe it or not. I watched it all as a child that day it came out to the day it ended. We all learned alot from Toonami’s old commericals and even learned from the shows. My dad watched it with me. He would say shhh don’t tell your mother and would let me stay up to watch Toonami. We always watched it and both love Dragonballz. I first saw Gorillaz on Toonami and Daft Punk. Add me on youtube and support me and other Toonami fans like yourself. Rate our videos daily. Spread the word of what Toonami was about and how great it was. It wasn’t only for children. But for adults and teenagers too. It was a family thing. The greatest and longest thing that ever aired on Cartoon-Network. It was before adult swim. I think they should make that a different channel. Its called Adult Swim. Its on a child’s channel. Its for family and children. Not adults. Also why did cartoon-network create and air CNReal? Its Cartoon-Network! Not LiveAction-Network! I heard soon they are gonna air more live action and less cartoons and taking off more old shows that they just got back. Do what you all can to help save CN and to bring it back to how it once was. I believe if we do not give up no matter what we will succeed. Remember. Don’t Fear Failure.

94. BlitzkriegOmega says:

…Is this true? Will there be Gundam and DBZ, like in the great beginning? I miss Toonami so much, Please Revive CartoonNetwork (Not CN…that must be killed…slowly and painfully…) Please NeoToonami…succeed…

95. Burak says:

Maybe we should all put in money or something , if anything like that is need lol. PLZ DO ANYTHING TO BRING IT BACK !!!

96. Xtreme1 says:

Yeah, I support Neotoonami, when they canceled the block, I cried, and it still has affected me today. But, I had a dream once, with T.O.M. back on saying that the revoloution was back and it was on Cartoon network. I think this is a sign that you guys may lead to the full return of Toonami
